The first time I saw this photo, and read “The boxes, that’s all you get” I felt dread, fear and anger.

One month later, I am still thinking about it.

A successful friend of mine shared this with me and said it was a reminder of how many weeks are left in his life.

“The boxes, that’s all you get” – Scott Carpenter, owner of Underground Fitness in Arizona, wrote.

He uses that to remind himself not to waste a single day. A single hour. A single minute.

It motivated him.

It made me angry

How can one image make someone a better version of themselves and one person (me) get angry?

One month later and it has helped to change my life.

Turns out I wasn’t angry at that image. I was defensive.

Have you ever been called out and gotten angry?

Was it anger, or were you defensive because that person was telling you your biggest fears about yourself?

I was wasting my life away.

There are 24 hours in a day. If you sleep for 8 you are sleeping for 1/3 of your life.

16 hours are available each day to accomplish everything you want out of life.

You had 1,840 hours of time not sleeping that you could have been productive with in 2021 that has already passed.

That chart screams at me, WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THEM?

Take Action

Let’s turn it around and say, what will you do with the 4,000 hours left with your eyes open in 2021.

Get off social media, get off the couch. Get off of whatever is literally sucking the life away from you and take action.

Decide what you want out of life and go get it.
