Why Do You Want It?

Why Do You Want It? In order to answer that, you have to know what “It” is.

You might say your “It” might be weight loss or “It” might be more energy, but it is probably something deeper than that, isn’t it?

Why do you want to lose weight? Or want more energy? Why do you want “It”?

For a college student with a cheerleading scholarship, more energy will allow them to practice longer, give their best effort over a longer duration and just mentally produce more than their counterparts.

More energy can mean getting or keeping that scholarship. Which might mean thousands and thousands of dollars saved and a college education they might otherwise not be able to afford.

That college student knows their “It” and has tied it back to their “Why”, therefore places an emphasis on activities that will take them toward their “It”.

The outcome of their actions are crucial to their future.

What is Your “It” and Why Do You Want It?

But what about a woman in her 40s or 50s. Odds are you aren’t going out for that cheerleading scholarship. So why do you want to lose weight or have more energy?

Why not just sit on the couch and order food in, drink that bottle of wine and binge watch the Real Housewives of Denver?

Do you have responsibilities or even people that depend on you?

Kids, grandkids, parents to take care of? To be at your best for?

Are you getting up or going to bed with aches and pains you didn’t have when you were younger?

Odds are those aches and pains you feel when you wake up are multiplying, not dividing.

The people that depend on you, need you to be around and need you to be healthy and happy and at your best.

Is the trajectory you are on now going to make your life longer or shorter?

Maybe that is your Why.

Maybe it’s something altogether different and you have yet to explore it.

Only you know why it is important to you. And if it’s not important enough, if you don’t know WHY it’s important, you won’t change.

This week we will tell you how you can Rewrite Your Story and How To Shift Your Focus.
