Client Spotlight: How Personal Training Helped Cassie Become Her Own Inspiration

How Cassie Felt Before Starting at Northglenn Health and Fitness
Before finding Northglenn Health and Fitness, Cassie spent years in a cycle many women find themselves in: having a deep desire to change but lacking the “key” to stay motivated. The physical toll of perimenopause had taken over, leaving her joints aching and her sleep disrupted. By the time she reached out to us, she was simply feeling miserable and exhausted from trying to figure it out on her own.

She found herself turning to carbs and sugar as a way to cope with the exhaustion, but her research kept pointing her back to one specific solution: strength training.

For years, Cassie struggled to find the “key” to staying consistent with her fitness. How Cassie Changed 3 Months After Starting Personal Training
In just ninety days of personal training at Northglenn Health and Fitness, Cassie has experienced a total shift in both her physical capabilities and her mental well-being. The most immediate change was a significant lift in her daily mood, but the progress didn’t stop there. After years of never lifting more than 50 pounds, she is now deadlifting her own body weight, a milestone that has caught the attention of her own clients and peers.
“It’s really wild how much has changed since I’ve joined… my mood improved a lot right away. I’ve never lifted more than 50 pounds in my entire life, and now I can deadlift my weight. My clients have even noticed, saying things like, ‘Wow, you look better.’ It’s really both satisfying and motivating to continue.” — Cassie
How Cassie Feels Now
What started as a search for relief has turned into a source of deep personal empowerment. Cassie has reached a point where her progress has become its own reward—a “high” that comes from seeing tangible proof of her own strength. For her, the experience of seeing the weight on the bar and knowing she can handle it with the right form and support has been nothing short of transformative.
“It’s almost inspiring in a weird way. It’s hard to be your own inspiration, but seeing that you can do something like that… This is the point that people get to where they become almost addicted to this experience, because each gain is such a high. It’s so empowering to feel the strength in your own body and to see that you can do that. It’s incredible. It’s an experience like nothing else.” — Cassie

Finding the right environment was a non-negotiable for Cassie. After past experiences in traditional gyms where she felt judged or uncomfortable, she specifically sought out a women-focused gym. At Northglenn Health and Fitness, she found a welcoming, non-judgmental community where she could focus on her growth without feeling “less-than” or out of place.
“I actually searched for women-only gyms because I’ve had experiences in other gyms where you get your gym bros throwing weights around and giving you side eye and making you feel uncomfortable. This is the most non-judgmental, non-nerve-wracking, most welcoming place I’ve been in. Finding somewhere where you feel comfortable doing things in the gym that you don’t know how to do… that’s a huge reason to be here.” — Cassie
