Maybe you know you need to exercise.
Maybe you even want to get stronger.
There’s just one small problem.
You also have a job.
And a family.
And appointments.
And people who need things from you.
And dinner isn’t going to magically appear on the table tonight.
And oh yeah… you occasionally want to do things you actually enjoy.
So where exactly is this perfectly consistent fitness routine supposed to fit?
We work with a lot of women at Northglenn Health and Fitness who have spent years putting their own health somewhere near the bottom of a very long list.
We don’t think the solution is telling them to “prioritize themselves” harder. Uh, duh.. You already know it’s important.
So how do busy women find time to workout?
We think fitness has to learn how to live inside an actual life.
Meet Alissa

Alissa is a lot of things and you can see that gym rat didn’t make the board! haha
What did?
Mom. MBA. Cook. Strategist. Friend. Event planner. Singer. Animal lover. Goofball. ❤️
That last one might be our favorite. 😂
Alissa isn’t just “a woman who needs to work out.”
She’s a whole freaking person.
Sometimes being a mom even means her daughter comes along for the ride when she comes to NHF.
There are responsibilities she has to take care of.
People she loves.
Things she’s good at.
Things she enjoys.
A career.
A family.
A life.
And then somewhere in all of that…
Alissa also wants to take care of Alissa.
Your Workout Shouldn’t Require You to Build Your Life Around It
This is where we think the fitness industry sometimes gets things backward.
You’re told what your “ideal” workout routine should look like.
How many days you should train.
How long you should exercise.
How many steps you should get.
What you should eat.
When you should eat it.
How much you should sleep.
And suddenly getting healthy feels like you’ve taken on another part-time job.
That’s not particularly helpful when you already have a full-time life.
Plus WHO are they talking to? They don’t know you.
So we’ve intentionally made training at NHF flexible. And our options are catered to you, not a generic person.
We have training times that start as early as 5:30 in the morning and as late as a 6:00 p.m. start, plus weekend availability.
And here’s a big one:
You don’t have to come at the exact same time every week.
Maybe 6:00 a.m. works this Tuesday, but next Tuesday you’ve got something going on and need to come after work.
Cool.
Maybe your work schedule changes from week to week.
Maybe you’ve got kids, appointments, travel, meetings, or approximately 47 other things you’re trying to coordinate.
We get it.
And not everyone at NHF trains the same number of days, either.
Some of our clients train with us once a week. Others train four times a week. And there are plenty of people somewhere in between.
How often you train depends on things like your goals, your schedule, what else you’re doing outside the gym, your starting point, and what you can realistically be consistent with.
Because giving a busy woman a “perfect” four-day workout plan she can’t actually do isn’t helpful. All that does is make us feel like we are failing. Yet again.
The best plan is the one that makes sense for you and your life.
You can schedule your training around your life instead of rearranging your entire life around your training.
Because flexibility isn’t some little convenience we threw in.
It’s part of how we help women actually stay consistent.
We Want to Know More Than What Your Physical Body Can Do
Yes, we’re going to pay attention to what happens inside the gym.
We want to know that you’re getting stronger.
We care about how you’re moving.
We want to see your confidence grow.
But the reason we’re doing all of that isn’t so you can become really good at exercising.
It’s so you can go live your life.
Maybe getting stronger means being able to go up and down the stairs easier.
Maybe it means traveling more.
Maybe it means gardening.
Playing with the kiddos or grand kiddos.
Hiking.
Carrying all the groceries inside because apparently making two trips is illegal. 😂
Or maybe it means having enough strength and confidence to keep saying yes to the things you love doing.
That’s why knowing the person we’re coaching matters.
Your life gives the workout a purpose.
Personal Training Should Be Personal
The word personal gets thrown around a lot in fitness.
To us, it means more than putting your name on a workout.
We want to know what’s happening with you.
If something hurts.
If you barely slept.
If work has been bananas.
If you’re having a fantastic day and you’re ready to freaking GO.
If something has changed and today’s workout needs to change with it.
That’s coaching.
And it’s one of the reasons we built Northglenn Health and Fitness around individualized training instead of expecting every woman in the room to do exactly the same thing.
Because you’re not exactly the same.
You Don’t Need More Hours in the Day
If you’ve been waiting for life to calm down before you start taking care of yourself, you might be waiting a while.
There will probably always be something.
Work.
Kids.
Parents.
Travel.
Appointments.
Deadlines.
Really inconvenient Tuesdays.
The goal isn’t to create a life where nothing ever interferes with your fitness routine.
The goal is to build a fitness routine that can survive your life.
That’s why we offer early mornings, evenings and weekends.
It’s why you don’t have to commit to the same training time every week.
It’s why one person might train once a week while another trains four times.
And it’s why when life changes, we don’t expect you to pretend it hasn’t.
We figure out what works now.
Alissa doesn’t stop being a mom when she walks into NHF.
She doesn’t stop being an MBA, strategist, friend, cook, singer, animal lover, event planner…
Or, thankfully, a goofball. 😂
She gets to bring the whole person through the door.
And so do you.
At Northglenn Health and Fitness, we specialize in helping women get stronger with coaching that’s built around the person standing in front of us.
If you’ve been thinking about getting stronger but aren’t sure how fitness is supposed to fit into everything else you’ve got going on, let’s talk.

You don’t need to know what kind of workout you need.
That’s our job.
Just tell us about you.
And yes, we have room for more goofballs. ❤️
