30 Days of Blogging
30 Days ago I set a goal to write a blog post each day for 30 days. Today is Day 30.
Some days it’s enjoyable. I would even add that some days it’s a lot of fun. There are days where I get an idea and it just flows out of me. And
there are other days where I dread it.
The days I dreaded I would sit at my kitchen table and say to myself – do I really have to write today? Isn’t it too late? I
mean who do I have to answer to? There are more important things for me to work on than my blog. It’s my blog so I don’t have anyone making me do this it’s just for me. Luckily I had someone holding me accountable, I would have quit otherwise. I’m not stopping at 30 either!
What does blogging have to do with my health and fitness? Read on for the hook…
30 Days of Fitness (Written by “Future” You In 30 Days)
30 Days ago I set a goal to focus on my health and fitness each day for 30 days.
Some days it’s enjoyable. I would even add that some days it’s a lot of fun. There are days where I get into a workout and I just rock it. And
there are other days where I dread it.
The days I dreaded I would sit at my kitchen table and say to myself – do I really have to workout today? Isn’t it too late? I
mean who do I have to answer to? There are more important things for me to work on than my health and fitness. It’s my body so I don’t have anyone making me do this it’s just for me. Luckily I had someone holding me accountable, I would have quit otherwise. I’m not stopping at 30 either!
On the Hook
I am in a Facebook group with other people that are trying to write more and post each day. After the first day, everyone was posting “Day 1: Blog Posted!” and a link to their blog. People would comment on each other’s posts, be supportive etc. Then on Day 2 we would all post again, showing our accomplishments. As you can imagine this went on for 30 days. The accountability I had from this group of people, ensured my success.
It’s easy when it comes to things like showing up for work because you have a boss; turning work in for school because you have a teacher. Getting to the gym, working on your fitness, better nutrition habits, up until now you’ve depended on yourself alone. Stop putting the most important thing, your health and fitness, in the back seat. Come see us and you can be on the hook to us.
My Results
At the end of the 30 days of blogging I feel great. Yesterday, someone came in and mentioned that she reads my posts. She said it felt like I was speaking to people like her. I can’t tell you how happy that made me feel. I put in the work and I was rewarded with a brand new member and hopefully a new friend!
And I’m not stopping. You’ll see another post on Thursday. Let me know if there is ever anything you’d like me to write about. I would love fresh material!
Imagine the results you will get for committing to your health and fitness for 30 days. Maybe a brand new life.
